Co-Founders Dave Pickhardt and Robert J. Glenski established FUEL to address many of the all-too-common business issues plaguing owners and leaders in today’s marketplace. They were influenced by the business principles of Ewing Marion Kauffman (Mr. K) and the operational leadership practices that he standardized in his company Marion Laboratories. Applying these principles and practices, Dave and Robert have proven their worth across multiple companies and disciplines. FUEL associates understand that well-established business principles strengthen culture, drive business results, and establish lasting success. FUEL’s core services are built with a specific focus on some of the most important leadership actions to develop winning strategies and then successfully execute these plans. Dave and Robert leverage their career experiences, including their successful tenures at Marion Labs, to provide services across continuum of strategy development through execution and ensuring each of FUEL’s services drive their clients to a higher level of success.

    Dave is a c-suite executive and highly sought-after consultant based on his background that includes many leadership roles across numerous business sectors and nonprofits. As a FUEL co-founder, he taps into his senior-level leadership experiences as a commercial business unit leader and accomplished sales training expert, who built a management development department, and led an industry-leading sales organization described by the WSJ as “the Jaguar of the pharmaceutical industry.” At Marion Laboratories, Dave earned the confidence of Mr. K and other executives to drive transformative change across the organization and adopt innovative practices numerous times across his tenure at this successful organization.

    Robert is a highly accomplished executive leader, with a unique pharmacist background, and strong record of achievement in strategic planning and execution, brand marketing, communications, crisis management, media strategy, and sales management with a record of consistent growth across many functions and industry sectors. He has been recognized as a successful manager of long-term client relationships and achieved award-winning recognition for every career position including sales, marketing, communications, leadership, accounts, team management and consultancy. Marion Laboratories tapped Robert to rollout the pharmaceutical’s industry’s first patient compliance program and to lead the marketing positioning and launch of a blockbuster new product.

These practices enabled Mr. K’s company to maintain its high-performance culture even as the enterprise grew into a multi-billion pharmaceutical powerhouse.
